According to Dr. Shawky Allam, the Grand Mufti of Egypt, blood donation does not break the fast during Ramadan since what comes out of the body does not affect the fast. Dr. Shawky Allam, the Grand Mufti of Egypt, confirmed that donating blood during the month of Ramadan does not break the fast, explaining that what comes out of the body does not break the fast, and therefore blood donation does not break the fast.
He added, during his meeting with the journalist Hamdi Rizk, on the “Every Day Fatwa” program, broadcast on Sada Al-Balad channel, that the divine mandate derived from the Holy Qur’an confirms the necessity of striving for the land and halal earning, pointing to the importance of the balance between work and worship.
And the Mufti of the Republic explained that if the conflict between fasting and work is inevitable, then according to scholars, livelihood is first, indicating that the ransom by feeding a poor person is obligatory for the worker who cannot fast because of the hardship of his work.
On the other hand, Dr. Shawky Allam, the Grand Mufti of Egypt, said that the Holy Qur’an revolved around a lot of research and various sciences, explaining that the book that received a profound and comprehensive study of all its vocabulary is the Holy Qur’an.
He added that the Holy Qur’an was revealed to all ages and times, as it is given to each of the ages, indicating that in the twentieth century we derive different sciences from the Holy Qur’an.
The Grand Mufti of Egypt explained that it is possible to derive a lot from the Holy Qur’an, pointing out that there are efforts made in the Holy Qur’an, and there are many studies about it, and modern interpretations.
He also emphasized that many studies were conducted on the Holy Qur’an, rhetorically, linguistically, and others.
