Director Rami Imam revealed the first comment from his father, leader Adel Imam, after announcing the date of the premiere of the play Body Guard, which has been filmed since 2010.

Ramy Imam confirmed, in an interview with the mbc trending program, that his family was wondering about the date of the play, especially Adel Imam, who was eager to present it, and he was constantly asking this question to the producing company,

To know when it will be shown to the public, and that the first comment that came out of everyone in the house, including the leader, when they heard the news of the play being shown was the word “Oh.”

He said that “his first theatrical directing experience, through the play “Body Guard”, represented a great challenge for him, due to its presentation after the play “The Leader”, which achieved great success.”

He added that the challenge was also very technical, which is how to produce it at a modern technical level, especially because it is very showy and relied on new decorations.

Adel Imam’s son confirmed that his father “always deviates from the text in his plays, such as the scene of the drink bottle in the play “Watch what I saw a need” and others, and therefore “Body Guard” is full of deviations from the text.”

Director Rami Imam said that just as there were happy memories such as those he lived with his family, there were also sad memories such as the death of artist Mostafa Metwally in 2000 during the second year of the play.

Rami added that his father at the time decided to complete the show despite the psychological fatigue they went through, saying: “The theater is only hindered by the grave, people are paying tickets and coming from the end of the world to see Adel Imam,

I am determined to do the play,” adding that as soon as the show was closed, they all collapsed on the stage. It was a special difficult moment for his father, who wept bitterly that he had never seen before.

Over the past few days, the General Authority for Entertainment in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia presented the Egyptian play “Body Guard” on television for the first time, after 21 years of waiting.
