The great artist, Safia Al-Omari, expressed her sadness over the continuing escalation of events in Gaza and the Zionist entity’s bombing of the Palestinian people, including children, the elderly, and women, amid Western media silence and unlimited American support.

The “Arabwood” website published a video clip hosted by the artist Safia Al-Omari on the website’s official Instagram page, during which she broke her silence regarding the unfortunate events taking place in Gaza, saying: “I am very, very hurt by what is happening in Palestine. I am hurt for the children and the mothers. “What’s happening?”

As for her opinion on the work of artists recently amid the escalation of events, she said: “As for my opinion of the artists who go to work, no one knows their circumstances. Guys, our hearts and emotions are with the issue and with the people who are exposed to this injustice and destruction, but there is another destruction in life, a person who needs a job, meaning he refuses work because of responsibilities.” And we must also appreciate the person and artist who works without being oppressed.”

A large number of stars were keen to support artists who participate in artistic works in light of the difficult circumstances that the Palestinian people are going through, after many social media users attacked and criticized these posts, and that it is better to apologize in light of the continuous violations that the Palestinian people are witnessing by the Zionist entity. The most prominent of these artists was Bayoumi Fouad, who, after the end of the performance of the play “Artificial Marriage” as part of the “Riyadh Season” activities, made statements that caused great controversy due to his participation in the Riyadh Season amid the escalation of events in Gaza, the most prominent of whom was the artist Muhammad Ramadan.

It is noteworthy that the last appearance of the artist Safia Al-Omari was within the activities of the Hurghada Youth Film Festival in its first session, which was held last September in the presence of many of the most prominent stars and filmmakers from Egypt and various parts of the Arab world.
