Typically, restocking supermarket shelves is one of the most time-consuming tasks for employees. Indeed, many employees waste time having to find products with the right reference.
In order to make work easier, the Colruyt group has just developed a smartphone application which makes it possible to find the right product more quickly. Her name ? Product Finder. Once the barcode of a product is scanned, the application directly sends the shelf in which the product is located.
After being developed on the premises of the group’s innovation team, the application is currently in the test phase at Colruyt in Halle, one of the largest in the chain of stores. A test phase that already seems to arouse the enthusiasm of employees. Deployment is already planned for the second half of 2023.
The Group does not intend to stop there and would already seek to know if other applications facilitating, for example, the collection of shopping ordered via Collect&Go could be developed.
