Former MP Assem Araji confirmed, “The phenomenon of Lebanese pregnant women going to Palestinian camp hospitals to give birth is growing.” He commented, “What made you bitter? As for the health risks of births by midwives, outside the framework of hospitals, he warned in a press statement, of “the repercussions that may result on a pregnant woman as a result of such choices, especially if the necessary health standards are not respected,” noting that “the consequences may go beyond infections, and reach degree of severe bleeding and hysterectomy.
