The HCC imposes itself in pain

HC La Chaux-de-Fonds has an ogre appetite: it celebrated its 8e consecutive success Tuesday evening, at the Mélèzes ice rink, in the Swiss Ice Hockey League. In front of 1,372 spectators, the HCC won, in pain of course, against Visp with the score of 2-0.

Thierry Paterlini’s players opened the scoring after nine minutes of play by Julien Privet, on a good serve from Arnaud Jaquet, who was making his return to competition. The HCC had then stolen nothing: it flew over the first third time against Viège, offensively, non-existent. He could have already, and even should, have scored a few more goals before the first tea to experience a more peaceful evening. This is also the opinion of striker Ludovic Voirol:

In the second period, the forces gradually balanced out. Les Chaux-de-Fonniers gradually lost their superb face to more enterprising Viègeois: loaned out under a B license by Lausanne HC, goalkeeper Viktor Östlund had to wait until the end of the middle third to finally be seriously approached. On the other hand, in the final third time, he really saved the house several times before Toms Andersons delivered his own, in the 59the minute, in the empty cage.

Obviously still lacking in rhythm, the HCC still managed to win. A team success. This is Arnaud Jaquet’s opinion:

In the Swiss League ranking, the HCC further consolidates its 3rd place with a 6-point lead and 2 fewer matches than HC Thurgau, 4th. On the other hand, he is 20 units behind Olten, 2nd. His program for the week is by far not finished: a double confrontation against Kloten – the new leader of the championship – awaits him. Thierry Paterlini’s troupe will play Friday at Les Aviateurs before welcoming them to Les Mélèzes on Sunday. /mine
