The heroine of X-Men: Apocalypse reveals that she has cancer

Actress Oliva Munn revealed that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer, the star wrote X-Men: Apocalypse News on her Instagram account, and she revealed that she was diagnosed with the disease for the first time in April of last year 2023.

In her post, Moon shared that she took a genetic test in February of last year and while she passed the test, she found out two months later that she had breast cancer. She confirmed, “I kept my diagnosis, anxiety, recovery, and pain medication private, as I needed to catch my breath and get through some of the hardest parts.” Before sharing.

Munn went on to explain that after undergoing a series of tests, her doctor, Dr. Aliabadi, discovered that the actress’s risk of life was 37 percent, and “because of this result, I was sent for an MRI, which led to an ultrasound, which then… That led to a biopsy. The biopsy showed that I had luminal B cancer in both breasts. Luminal B is an aggressive and fast-moving cancer.

A month after the biopsy, Munn underwent a 10-hour double mastectomy. “I’m lucky we got it in time because I had options, and I want the same for any woman who might have to face this one day,” she continued.

Olivia Munn is best known for her roles as Psylocke in X-Men: Apocalypse and Casey Brackett in the 2018 film The Predator, along with other roles in Ride Along 2, Date Night, Magic Mike, and New Girl.
