BEIJING EXPRESS. Alex and Sylvie were the hidden duo of Beijing Express 2022. Shortly before the end of the race, they were caught by Jean-Claude and Axel.
[Mis à jour le 18 février 2022 à 9h06] Each year, the hidden duo of Beijing Express brings its share of twists and turns in the competition. The 2022 edition of the M6 game was no exception to the rule. In order not to be spotted by the other candidates, and risk final elimination, Alex and Sylvie had to use several tricks in episode 2, on the TV program on February 17.
The game of hide and seek was not easy for Sylvie and Alex. Launched into a bazaar in Kyrgyzstan where all the other pairs were, they had to dress up and ask for help from people in the bazaar so as not to be spotted. The challenge was however taken up, thanks to a daring technique: they subsequently joined Bosko Jol Mosque with the help of two locals who served as their doubles. Enough to fool the other candidates and allow them to reach the destination serenely.
However, this was not enough to ensure victory for Sylvie and Alex. In the last kilometers of the race, they were spotted by other Beijing Express candidates, Jean-Claude and Axel. The grandfather and grandson duo managed to catch them and permanently eliminate them from the M6 adventure game. In fifteen seasons, this is the first time that a hidden pair has been caught and eliminated by other candidates.

During episode 1 of Beijing Express, several events awaited the candidates on an expedition to Kyrgyzstan. During the first, a blindfolded boat race, the Belgian brothers Lucas and Nicolas won the Pass Express: this one allows them, if they do not arrive last in a stage, to escape the final duel until episode 7. The other pairs do not know who is in possession of this advantage which can prove difficult for the sequel to the M6 game.
During the final duel, Alex and Sylvie, who arrived last in the stage because their driver had to stop because of a deflated tire, chose to challenge Etienne and Vanessa, a pair of strangers. While the ordeal (going to a bazaar, reproducing traditional noodles to perfection, and returning to the place of departure) was off to a good start for the couple. But successive and unlucky delays (a driver who got the wrong destination in particular) allowed Etienne and Vanessa to win the race. Alex and Sylvie, unlucky during this first stage, are eliminated. But the trailer for the next episode of Beijing Express makes revelations: Alex and Sylvie remain present in competition. They form the hidden pair, and will have to continue the adventure in Central Asia without being spotted by the other candidates. Fanciful costumes and games of hide-and-seek will certainly be on the agenda for the next episode, broadcast on February 17 on M6. Beijing Express is an adventure game broadcast since 2006 on M6. This television show, presented by Stéphane Rotenberg, sees pairs go abroad every year. The goal: to survive thanks to the inhabitant and to go to different stages in the country, to rub shoulders with events that allow them to qualify for the rest of the competition.
The 2022 season of Beijing Express is broadcast on M6 from February 10, 2022. Please note, the day of broadcast has changed: it is no longer Tuesday evening, but now Thursday evening that viewers will be able to find the adventure game at the other end of the world.
During the 2022 edition of Beijing Express, eight pairs will compete in the M6 game in the hope of becoming the big winners of this season 15. From February 10, 2022, viewers will be able to discover the profiles and backgrounds of the duos following:
- Etienne and Vanessa, the pair of strangers
- Jean-Claude and Alex, the grandfather and his grandson from Gers
- Arlette and Caroline, fusional mother and daughter from Toulon
- Charlotte and Sarah, the inseparable sisters of Monaco
- Lucas and Nicolas, the Belgian brothers
- Fanny and Jérémy, a couple from the Lyon region
- Tarik and Ahmed, cousins from Bourgogne-Franche-Comté
- Sylvie and Alex, lovers with opposite characters from the PACA region
What is the Express Pass?
In episode 1, viewers discovered a new rule that will shake up the competition: the express pass. This advantage will allow the pair who wins it this season (in the first episode) to avoid the final duel if they finish a stage being neither first nor last. The duo that benefits from it can play it until the seventh episode. Once used, the express pass can no longer be used by another pair and this advantage disappears from the competition.
Beijing Express is broadcast from February 10, 2022, on Thursday evenings, from 9:05 p.m. M6 has been broadcasting this adventure game since its creation. The first episode is broadcast every week: February 10, February 17, February 24, March 3… If you missed an episode, it is however possible to catch up on replay. The day after its broadcast, the sixth channel puts it online for eight days on its streaming and replay platform. 6play.
For the time being, we do not know the winners of Beijing Express 2022, the season having not yet been broadcast on M6. During the last season of Beijing Express, the final of which was broadcast on M6 on April 27, 2021, Claire and Christophe became the 2021 winners against Cinzia and Rose-Marie. The father-daughter duo won 58,730 euros. The previous edition, Beijing Express All Stars, saw the victory of the Corsican couple Julie and Denis, finalists of the 2013 season.
