The hospital is back to normal operation. It will make up for canceled non-emergency surgeries. It provides for an actionable device in the event of an epidemic resumption.

The HUG have noted a sharp drop in hospitalizations due to Covid-19.
The HUG have taken note of their exit from the crisis system put in place to manage the Covid-19 pandemic. This Wednesday, they indicated that the drop in the number of hospitalizations confirms the return to normal activity of the hospital, which began on February 21 with the resumption of non-emergency surgical operations. To date, 81 patients are hospitalized in connection with the coronavirus. The peak was reached on February 7 with 536 patients.
The medical establishment nevertheless intends to remain vigilant as to a possible resumption of the epidemic. To this end, a system of 53 dedicated beds is maintained to deal with any rebound. If they are not mobilized, the personnel concerned are made available to the units which normally employ them. It can be requisitioned if necessary.
In addition, given the resumption of normal surgical activities, the HUG is working to reschedule the approximately 1,500 operations that have had to be postponed since the first wave. They recall that despite the pandemic, no Genevan has been deprived of urgent care.
