The conflict between turquoise and green in the university actually offered the possibility of trench warfare. Not so long ago, ÖVP science ministers kept pushing for tuition fee increases, while the Greens decried any entry restrictions. Sigrid Maurer, currently the club’s president and the most important member of the minor league partnership, was even banned from parliament for a time because of her destructive actions as ÖH boss who denounced the influence of the ÖVP university politics.
