“Your Easy and Secure Loan” is the new digital service that the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS) has implemented through its Internet portal, so that pensioners can start their loan application, reaffirming with this the work in the digitization and simplification of the procedures and services that this institution offers.

The monthly discount of the loan must not exceed 30% of the amount of the monthly pension and that the amount of the pension is not reduced to an amount less than the guaranteed pension

With this new tool, informed the IMSS, pensioners, under the Social Security Law in force until June 30, 1997 (LSS 1973), will be able to obtain a pension account loan by going to www.imss.gob.mx /pensions, find out the amount of the loan offered by financial institutions and choose the one that offers the best conditions. Subsequently, the financial entity chosen by the pensioner will contact him so that he can deliver and sign the documentation and once the loan is approved, it will be deposited in the same bank account where he receives the pension.

This service incorporates elements for the automatic validation of the applicant’s personal information and credit capacity. In addition, it allows the pensioner who has current loans to restructure with the same financial entity or change to another financial entity, to improve the conditions of the current loan.

To access this benefit, it was specified from the IMSS, the interested party must prove that they are a pensioner population under the LSS 1973, that the monthly discount of the loan does not exceed 30 percent of the amount of the monthly pension and that the amount of the pension is not reduced to an amount less than the guaranteed pension.

In case of any doubt or if you require technical assistance, the Mexican Social Security Institute makes the Pensioners’ Campaign available at the IMSS Contact Center at 800 623 23 23 option 3, as specified by the social security institution.
