The station is one of the most important projects for the development of seaports, the project to establish the Tahya Misr multi-purpose station on berths 55-62 in the port of Alexandria, where the great challenge began in the first quarter of 2020 with the onset of the Corona pandemic, and despite the restrictions imposed by the delinquent, the construction work of the station began by transporting a quantity of 12 One million cubic meters of clean, suitable sand from inside the sea by means of giant dredgers to establish the station, whose depths range from 14 to 17.5 meters, and the land represents 15% of the total area of ​​the station. The filling period took 10 months.

After the backfilling phase, the soil improvement works began, followed by the construction of the vertical elements and sidewalks. The infrastructure construction work took about 24 months to begin the journey of constructing facilities and buildings. In parallel with that, a contract was made to purchase all the heavy equipment for the station, including giant sidewalk cranes and square cranes.

Several criteria and foundations were set for choosing a global operator specialized in the field of managing and operating multi-stations. The French shipping line company CMA-CGM won, which partnered with the Egyptian Group for Multi-Purpose Terminals, where Tahya Misr TMT was established to manage and operate the station, which supervised the preparation of And preparing the station for operation and procuring equipment with high technical specifications, which is the first of its kind in Egypt, in order to keep pace with the huge development in the dimensions and specifications of ships.
