When the three-day state visit of King Charles III and the Queen to France was announced, Noé’s eyes lit up. The 8-year-old boy has admired the royal family since he was little. Originally from Normandy, it is from Oise to Saint-Aubin-en-Bray with his grandmother that he has corresponded for 3 years with the royal family of England.
So, when an envelope with the letterhead of the Presidency of the Republic reached him, his eyes filled with stars. Inside, an invitation from Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte Macron officially inviting him to attend the welcoming ceremony of King Charles III and Queen Camilla at the Arc de Triomphe.

His grandmother and uncle, his lifelong accomplices, accompanied him to Paris on Wednesday September 20, 2023. A place awaited him in the official stand in front of the Arc de Triomphe. A place where he was able to see his majesty King Charles III.
Noah’s dream had finally come true.
I couldn’t approach them, but I saw them clearly. I saw them for real.

“I was surprised to see the Patrouille de France planes. It’s very impressive,” explains the little man.
Pure happiness for the schoolboy who began a correspondence with the royal family since 2021. Since then, our newspaper has told his story. We kept a link with him. Just like Liv Rowland who spotted Noé in one of our articles in l’Eclaireur-La Dépêche when he was writing to the Queen of England to comfort her following the death of Prince Philip. The newspaper The Connexion also follows the one that the English now call The little French boy. It was also through the magazine that Noé saw his dream come true.

Since 2021, when he wrote to the Queen of England for the first time, to comfort her following the death of Prince Philip, he has maintained correspondence with the British royal family.

Moved by the interest in the crown, the British embassy in France had already selected it to appear on the consulate’s official Instagram.
Today he continues his correspondence with Buckingham Palace. For the Queen’s Jubilee, in January 2022, he will write to her again to wish her her birthday. And she will answer him.
In May 2023, he even had the privilege of being invited to the coronation ceremony of Charles III at the British Embassy in Paris.
At each important moment in the life of the royal family, he sends a missive. And he always receives a response from the crown services. King Charles III took over from Elizabeth II.
Noé carefully keeps all the letters, like a treasure.
He is now starting a collection of royal family stamps and has even started a photo album linked to the royal family which he would like to have dedicated to King Charles III. A new challenge ahead.
