The installation table for Yanet Vélez, the new manager of the Eastern ESE Health Network, was held.

The Mayor’s Office of Cali made official this Thursday (06.01.2023) the appointment of the surgeon Yanet Vélez Jaramillo, current Undersecretary of Health Protection and Provision of Services of the Ministry of Health, as the new manager in charge of the Eastern Health Network.

After signing the order, the official was present at the Carlos Holmes Trujillo Hospital, in commune 13, administrative headquarters of the Oriente Health Network, with a multidisciplinary team responsible for the connection.

At the installation table, the manager (e) was accompanied by Nhora Mondragón, District Government Secretary and Alfagma Sánchez, director of the Office of Transparency of the Mayor’s Office of Cali.

“The message that we want to bring to the community is tranquility; We are going to carry out this transition process in a respectful manner, agreed with all the representatives of the institution, where the legal context and technicality take precedence and where we can guarantee the continuity of this provision of the service that is focused on opportunity, on improvement and in the quality”, expressed the doctor Vélez.

The liaison process began under Law 951 of 2005, so that Óscar Ipia, a former manager declared non-existent, will have 15 days to submit the management report.

“There is a whole regulation that is already established in the system, through which the delivery must be made by Dr. Óscar Ipia. We have formed a multidisciplinary team that will be accompanied by the District Public Health Secretariat with the aim that we can address each of the thematic axes, financial, service provision, boxes and inventories with peers under a protocolized scheme ”, Vélez Jaramillo stated.

In the coming days, the new manager will recognize the different IPS that make up the Oriente Health Network in communes 13, 14, 15 and 21 and the village of Navarro, to generate an administrative diagnosis and care for users and initiate the corresponding improvements.

“I am a doctor by profession and that allows me to have a very precise vision of the situation and the diagnosis that the institution has in relation to the community, which are the critical points that we must work on and this is an advantage for us who are intervening because we must leave a positive footprint and we are going to focus our work on being able to guarantee that these critical points are at least minimized”, concluded the official.
