After China and India, Apple is exploring new horizons for the manufacture of its iPhones. Direction South America and more precisely Brazil for the iPhone 14.

Some new iPhone 14 buyers had a funny surprise when they bought their new smartphone. After “Assembled in China” or “Assembled in India”, it is the inscription “Assembled in Brazil” which is now inscribed on some iPhones sold today. A reader of Brazilian media MacMagazine discovered that his new 128 GB blue iPhone 14 had been assembled in his country.

It is thus the Brazilian subsidiary of Foxconn which is behind this manufacture. All models sold in the country of samba end in BZ/A or BE/A, but are also sold much more expensive than with us. For information, the 128 GB iPhone 14 costs 7,599 reales, or 1,386 €, while it is sold for 1,019 € with us.

For several months, Apple has been trying to relocate the production of its iPhones outside of China and to move towards India or, obviously, Brazil. The restrictive health policy of covid-19 and the various political conflicts between China and the United States concerning, in particular, Taiwan, prompted Apple to turn its back on the Middle Kingdom.
