The James Webb Space Telescope takes amazing pictures of the universe

We have the first pictures taken by the James Webb Space Telescope. The reaction of the astronomy community was equal to the accuracy and beauty of the two impressive images: fascination, astonishment and curiosity! The captured images show a corner of space inhabited by ancient galaxies, and these images are our deepest and farthest view of the universe. “These wonderful images are full of galaxies,” says Jane Rigby, of NASA. “We couldn’t capture empty bits of space. There are galaxies everywhere.”

Some of the images show rippling and colliding galaxies, A dying star is surrounded by a ring of layers of gas, cosmic dust, and radioactive clouds surrounding a stellar nursery. “I’m excited and relieved, it’s been really hard work,” says John Mather, a James Webb Space Telescope team scientist. “I can’t describe how difficult it is. We risked a lot when we said we were going to do it. It was an almost impossible goal.”

The telescope will focus during its first year of operation Observe ancient galaxies, distant worlds, the life cycles of stars, newborn planets, and celestial bodies in our solar system. These rare snapshots will unveil a new universe that we didn’t know before. It opens up new horizons for us to study and observe the universe with new eyes. Thus, it will contribute to a deeper understanding of our mysterious universe.

The beauty of the Southern Ring Nebula, The infinite number of galaxies in these deep images, and the chaos of galaxies coalescing push our perception of the enormity of reality to new levels. “Without looking at the stars, we cannot explain or understand our lives, who we are today, and how we originated. Our story is in them. It tells the story of the origin of the universe,” said Thomas Zurbuchen, associate director of the science mission at NASA.
