The Jazz will meet two Celtics assistants

After having recorded the departure of Quin Snyder, the management of Jazz is now looking at the profile of his successor. As embodied by Ime Udoka in Boston, Willie Green in New Orleans or Chauncey Billups in Portland, to name but a few, the trend is towards renewal and the search for “new faces”.

A first rather original list of names was unveiled in this sense by Adrian Wojnaroswki. Original, since it has only one candidate who has already coached in the NBA: Terry Stotts.

For the rest, the Salt Lake City franchise has therefore received authorization from the franchises concerned to speak with the following assistants: Johnnie Bryant (Knicks), Will Hardy (Celtics), Charles Lee (Bucks) and Joe Mazzulla (Celtics ).

To this list is added Alex Jensen, Jazz assistant since 2013 (a year before the arrival of Quin Snyder) and the German selection since 2015. Announced at first, Kevin Young, of the Suns, would not be concerned by post.

However, the searches and options enabled by the Jazz are said to be in their infancy, and the list is expected to grow with new names, whether other assistants or former coaches. According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the process might be “long and wide open”.
