The Jordanian Armed Forces announce the continuation of patrols and sorties in the skies of the Kingdom and the protection of airspace

Jordan – The Jordanian Armed Forces announced yesterday, Tuesday, that the Royal Air Force will continue to conduct intensive patrols and air sorties in the skies of Jordan to protect the airspace.

The spokesman for the Jordanian Armed Forces, the Arab Army, said in an official statement on Tuesday that the Royal Jordanian Air Force continues to conduct intensive patrols and sorties in the skies of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to protect the airspace.

He stressed in his statement that the armed forces are working to protect the nation’s borders and preserve its security and the safety of citizens.

Yesterday, Monday, the Jordanian Armed Forces announced that the Royal Air Force would intensify its air patrols at dawn on Tuesday “to prevent any air penetration and defend the skies of the Kingdom of Jordan.”

Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Al-Safadi had said that Jordan would confront any Israeli missiles that crossed Jordan’s airspace, in reference to a possible Israeli response to the major Iranian attack.

On Monday, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani stressed the friendly relations with Jordan, indicating that contacts are continuing between officials of the two countries, and that good consultations have taken place over the past months between the two foreign ministers.

This Jordanian air alert comes after the Iranian attack that targeted Israel last Saturday evening in response to the Israeli bombing of the Iranian consulate in Damascus.
