“The Karagiozis Olympian” by Christos Patrinos

The karagiozo theater Peri Skion (Norman 20, Patra) curated by the karagiozo player Christos Patrinos has officially opened its doors for this year’s theater year 2024-25.

This weekend, after 20 years, the show that was a great success at the Athens 2004 Olympic Games “O Karagiozis Olympianikis” will be presented to the fans.

Only for three performances tomorrow Saturday 28 September and Sunday 29 for the old to remember and the young to learn will watch the Touch of the Flame performed by the Prothieria and asking for the help of the sun Apollo to light the torch from the hollow mirror. The ritual takes place by reciting the invocation with the contribution of the Priests sending the messages of peace, friendship and solidarity. Then the beloved hero and protagonist of the Shadow Theater could not be absent from the biggest sporting event.
