Ron Dennis (76) was knighted by King Charles III. The former McLaren boss received the honor for his services to the industry and to charity across the Channel.

Dennis left McLaren in 2017 following working there for more than 30 years. He was notably at the helm in the 1980s when his team won several titles with Niki Lauda, Alain Prost and Ayrton Senna. Since his departure, he has completely withdrawn from Formula 1 to devote himself to other activities.

He notably collaborated with the British government. Sir Ron founded and chairs Podium Analytics, a non-governmental organization aimed at reducing injuries in sport, and the Tommy’s Association, which helps women who have suffered miscarriages.
