The Vietnam refinery, the country’s largest oil refinery, has been closed for 55 days, to carry out extensive maintenance work.
Those in charge of the refinery attributed the decision to close the facility, which has a production capacity of 200,000 barrels per day, to improve the efficiency of the facility and ensure its safety.
The Kuwait International Petroleum Company, which owns a stake in the refinery, is participating in carrying out the maintenance work, as the refinery is expected to resume normal operation by mid-October.
