From January 1, force-feeding should no longer be practiced in Flanders, i.e. just under a year before the ban on force-feeding planned by the end of 2023. “We are once once more taking leave of an outdated practice, such as we have done it before with slaughter without stunning, with the amputation of the tail of horses or with the breeding of fur animals”, rejoices the Flemish minister, who believes that the fight once morest force-feeding must now be taken to European level.
