Craig Mazin recently revealed that The Last of Us season 2 premiere episodes were written before the writers went on strike earlier this year. Despite the strike action, Mazin hopes the show will still return in 2025. “We really wanted to try and get this show aired when it was supposed to air,” he told Deadline. “If these strikes go on for longer, we’re going to inevitably have to push, and it’s hurting us, it’s hurting viewers, it’s hurting HBO.
