The latest and affordable Moskvich-2141 2023 pickup truck is shown in preliminary photos. All the details

The Moscow Automobile Plant recently announced prices for a new crossoverMoskvich 3″: almost 2 million rubles were requested for it. This amount is too high for a car assembled in Russia. Moreover, Moskvich 3 turned out to be more expensive Haval Jolion and Geely Coolray and is offered at about the same price as the recently updated Chery Tiggo 4 Pro, At the same time, the Russian model is inferior to Chinese competitors in terms of equipment. In this regard, the Moscow Automobile Plant needs in the near future not only to expand its product line, but also to introduce really cheap cars.

One of them can be a compact pickup truck “Moskvich” -2141 2023, the publication of renderings of which was announced by a domestic designer. Such a model, firstly, is able to occupy an empty niche. That is, it will not have direct competitors, which will make it easier for the Moscow Automobile Plant to promote its product line. Secondly, the compact pickup truck, as conceived by the author of the renderings, will turn out to be a car of the capital’s own design. This will increase the localization of its production and, as a result, reduce prices. As a result, the presented pickup truck is able to neutralize the negative effect that Moskvich 3 created.

Despite the above, this model will remain largely Chinese. That is, the Moscow Automobile Plant will not develop it from scratch, but will borrow from JAC, on the basis of the crossover of which Moskvich 3 was created, a platform, power units and transmissions. But, as noted earlier, the body and, probably, the interior of this new product will be of its own design.

According to preliminary estimates, an AZLK-2141 2023 pickup truck will cost about 1.3-1.5 million rubles. The relatively high price is due precisely to the fact that the power units for the model will be supplied from China.
