It has become a little home ritual. With Christmas approaching, we can’t help but communicate our wishes to Santa Claus, both in the Eastern Conference and in the Western Conference, as much for the teams as for the players. This year, in the East, several things are being asked of Santa: spoiler warning, we would like to see the Ball brothers – Lonzo and LaMelo – with better physical health. A new coach for the Sixers currently “driven” by Doc Rivers, well that’s not bad too. Leadership for Trae Young? It would be a nice gift for the Hawks that say. And if not, a little Defender of the Year trophy under OG Anunoby’s tree, just because he’s been nice all year (except with opposing attackers).
