GTA V releases today on PS5 and Xbox Series. The game features a whole bunch of graphical improvements, but also faster loading times. A comparison video gives us an idea of the progress.
GTA V is an indestructible game. Almost ten years after its release, it continues to fascinate the crowds. He now has a new life on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles. It brings many novelties, including a reduced loading time.
The title has a unique loading time at the start of the game in order to set up the open world. A long loading on the old consoles, since the player had time to go get a coffee. The VGC site has decided to compare the PS4 and PS5 versions on this point.
The PS5 saves a lot of time
The version PS5 still has this early-game loadout, but this one is much faster. According to VGC testing, it only takes 27 seconds to fully load the map. On PS4, it is logically longer, since the timer stops after one minute and 32 seconds. The video doesn’t mention the Xbox Series X version, but we can assume that it loads quickly too.
This result is not surprising, the PS5 being much more powerful than the console that preceded it. Some might regret the non-disappearance of this load at the start of the game (as is the case with almost all console titles) but you have to keep in mind that GTA V was not originally developed on PS5, that this is of a 4K port.

In addition to this reduced loading time, GTA V on the new consoles offers several innovations, such as 4K definition, a framerate of 60 frames per second and ray-tracing. Three display modes are available : Performance (60 frames per second, 4K upscaled), Fidelity (native 4K, 30 frames per second, ray-tracing) as well as a hybrid mode, Performance RT (4K upscaled, 60 frames per second and a little ray-tracing ).
