The logistics sector in China maintains its recovery during the first half of 2023

BEIJING, July 31 (Xinhua) — Industrial report data released by the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing showed that China’s logistics sector maintained the momentum of recovery during the first half of this year, as market demand rose modestly.

According to the data, during the mentioned period, social logistics rose 4.8 percent year on year, reaching 160.6 trillion yuan (about 22.51 trillion US dollars).

The data indicated that logistics services for industrial products rose 3.8 percent year-on-year during the aforementioned period, up 0.8 percentage points from the first quarter of this year.

The data showed that the logistics sector’s total revenue rose 5.3 percent year on year to 6.3 trillion yuan during the period.

Despite the challenges ahead, the federation remains confident in the sector’s growth prospects for this full year, attributing this to the sector’s huge potential and strong resilience.
