Today, Tuesday, the price of gold in Egypt continued to jump during transactions, and the gram rose 20 pounds at once by four o’clock in the afternoon, despite the decline in the metal globally, and this came as a result of the increase in the price of the dollar, according to Naguib Naguib, former Secretary General of the Gold Division at the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, to Masrawy. .
And the price of a gram of gold rose at the beginning of trading by about 20 pounds, bringing the total increase today to 115 pounds in the markets since the beginning of trading until now.
The price of the dollar has risen so far by about 2.79 pounds, after it moved yesterday morning, and now recorded 18.43 pounds for purchase, and 18.53 pounds for sale, according to data from the National Bank.
The dollar’s increase came after the central bank’s decision to raise the interest rate by 1% yesterday, Monday, after an extraordinary meeting.
Gold prices have seen big jumps in the local market in the past weeks, affected by the price of the metal globally, which rose due to the declaration of war between Russia and Ukraine.

14 karat gold prices rose to 727 pounds per gram.
And the price of 18 karat gold increased to 934 pounds per gram.
The price of 21 karat gold rose to 1090 pounds per gram.
And the price of 24 carat gold increased to 1246 pounds per gram.

The price of the gold pound rose to 8720 pounds, and the price may vary from one dealer to another, and this price is equal to the value of gold in the pound, and its price is linked to the prices of a gram of 21 karat.

The global price of gold fell during today’s trading session, to about $ 1915 an ounce, at 4:16 pm Cairo time, according to Bloomberg Agency data.
