The majority of e-scooter drivers often do not follow traffic rules – Vienna

2023-04-25 12:47:12

Vienna – The number of e-scooter drivers is constantly increasing. But the list of misconduct is long, according to evaluations by the Road Safety Board (KFV). 98 percent don’t blink or give a hand signal, 15 percent drive on the sidewalk despite the ban and every eighth person in the KFV observations even drove over the traffic light when it was red. The risk of injury is correspondingly high: last year, 3,600 people were injured in accidents involving the devices.
