There can be no talk of a tranquil end to the summer in the ÖVP. In the past two weeks things have once once more happened in quick succession. First it became known that the Economic and Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (WKStA) had filed a criminal complaint once morest ex-Chancellor Sebastian Kurz (ÖVP), his former cabinet chief Bernhard Bonelli and his former deputy party leader and casinos manager Bettina Glatz-Kremsner. They are all facing charges of false testimony.
