After the presentation of Unreal Engine 5, Epic Games published The City Sample project. This is the city that was used in the full demo of The Matrix Awakens available on PS5 and Xbox Series S|X.
The project still needs to be compiled. Fortunately, its ready-to-launch version has already been posted by enthusiasts. At the same time, in an archived form with a compressed file size from 90 to 18 GB. You can download from here.
One of the users has already tried the gameplay version of the city on the RTX 3090 and Intel i9 12900K. It runs at a resolution of 1440p, which cannot be changed, and shows performance at the level of 30-50 FPS.
Today it is the most photorealistic city that users can try here and now.
It is worth recalling once again that on consoles, along with the demo, there is also a small story campaign, in which, for example, there is Keanu Reeves. It is unlikely that it will be added to the PC.
