Mayor of Bishkek Emilbek Abdykadyrov told what projects the municipality is implementing
According to him, first of all, the mayor’s office is trying to solve problems with sidewalks, paving stones and irrigation.
“All this is in our plans, but everything depends on the financial issue and our citizens should understand correctly,” the mayor noted.
Also, according to him, 18,000 seedlings are planned to be planted this year.
“If there is no irrigation in a certain place, then there is no point in planting there. Therefore, we are looking for such places that there are all conditions for irrigation. There was a proposal from the townspeople that we plant perennial flowers, Bishkekzelenkhoz prepared 6,000 rose bushes.
As for trees, low cost seedlings are often chosen for planting. In Tashkent, expensive trees are specially brought from abroad. Good quality is always expensive. We need to choose trees that would suit our climate. Everything needs a scientific approach.
We instructed the department to not only plant trees, but also irrigate,” the mayor said.
The Mayor of Bishkek appealed to the citizens to take an active part in the subbotniks and change their attitude towards their hometown. The head of the city complained that the townspeople do not keep cleanliness and order.
The mayor also told reporters that it is planned to build a recreation area on the territory of Karagacheva Grove.
“We need to unload the city center, since all important social facilities are located in the city center. Therefore, it is necessary to build facilities in the suburban areas of Bishkek. We are preparing one project for Karagacheva Grove. We plan to create a recreation area there, there is a small lake and citizens who will not be able to go to Issyk-Kul, they could spend their leisure time in this place,” Abdykadyrov said.
