The M&D Debrief: test new DreameBot D10 Plus robot, discovery of the solar tracker, reversible air conditioner, insulate your veranda, etc.

Like every week, today I offer you the debrief on the news of the blog and home automation in general, but also topics around the house, finance, and high tech.

The podcast version will resume at the start of the school year, I promise 😉

To start, I offered you the robot vacuum cleaner test DreameBot D10 Plus, which has an automatic emptying station, as is becoming more and more fashionable. But this model also offers precise and fast mapping thanks to 360° Lidar, powerful suction, and a very aggressive price, since it is offered at less than 400€. If you are looking for an efficient and affordable device, this is a model to study!

As you know photovoltaic is a field that interests me a lot. I therefore presented to you this week the solar tracker: a device that allows solar panels to follow the path of the sun throughout the day, thus maximizing production. This equipment is still reserved for professionals and farms, because of its cost and the space required for its installation. But solutions for the residential sector are being put in place…

On the home side, we presented the reversible climate control, an air conditioning system that can be used in summer to cool the air, but also in winter to heat it up. Dual-function equipment, economical, and which can be very practical.

As long as we are talking about heating, a small point on the verandas and their insulation. A veranda can now be a real living room, an extension of the house. It still needs to be properly heated to welcome us there even in winter.

Finally, a point on the water softeners for the home, which are necessary today in many homes. Update on their advantages and the different existing models.
