The Minister of Interior reveals… this is what prepares “security” for the election day

The Minister of Interior and Municipalities Bassam al-Mawlawi confirmed that “the expatriates’ voting was carried out successfully, and this confirms our determination to complete the parliamentary elections that concern all Lebanese.”


Mawlawi’s words came during an experiment in the electronic sorting of parliamentary election results at the Ministry of Interior. He said that “the expatriate vote confirms that the Lebanese are looking towards tomorrow and towards a new Lebanon.”


And he added: “We are doing all this in order for the result to be guaranteed, transparent and accurate as possible. I appeal to citizens to participate massively in the elections, and we have done our part to encourage citizens to do so.”

Mawlawi continued: “When citizens vote, they have drawn the Lebanon of tomorrow, and I take advantage of this occasion to address all judges, employees, clerks and heads of pens by saying: Do not hesitate to be with us on voting day.”


The Minister of Interior announced that “the compensation will be appropriate for all employees, judges, clerks, clerks, and members of the military corps who keep pace with the elections.” He added: “The compensation will satisfy everyone and every party will take its rights in cash and in the same week, and we were able to arrange the matter with the Ministry of Finance and stressed the need not to take transfers. financial time.


He continued, “We were able to make the necessary arrangements so that judges, employees, clerks, heads of pens and the military corps can get their compensation in cash and at the place they specify.”

In response to a question, al-Mawlawi indicated that “a security plan has been drawn up in cooperation with all the military agencies,” and he said: “This week we will have a security meeting, and we have started taking all measures related to proactive security. We have all the reports on places that could witness tensions.” Or security incidents, whether before or during the election day, and we are working to prevent any tension, and in the event of any problems we will work to address them immediately and according to the appropriate mechanisms.”


He concluded: “I tell the citizens that their security is preserved and there is no need to worry, and I invite them once again to participate in the elections.”
