The Minister of Justice, Alphonse Charles Wright invites the heads of the country’s different jurisdictions to a meeting and demands their presence with the situation of the courts and tribunals, Friday November 17, 2023 at 10 a.m.
The first presidents of the courts and tribunals of the country, the presidents of the Chambers of Control of Instruction, the general and substitute prosecutors, the district and substitute prosecutors, the special prosecutors as well as the justices of the peace and the heads of registry are invited at the justice department in Conakry.
According to the note consulted by Guinee360.com, the meeting is intended to examine questions relating to the qualification of the working methods of the courts by necessary corrections to be made following certain findings.
Charles Wright invites these officials to provide themselves with the exact situation of places of detention, situation of the prison population, without forgetting the detailed situation of the files of the different jurisdictions.
The Minister of Justice requires the presence of the persons mentioned above with the requested documents, but so as not to affect the normal course of the courts, a substitute prosecutor will be designated by the head of the public prosecutor’s office for the continuity of public service.
