Al-Marsad newspaper: A video clip documented a terrifying scene of a ship wrecked at sea, due to a violent tropical storm, which caused the ship to split in two, and 20 crew members disappeared off Hong Kong.

Authorities said a full crew of more than 20 people was missing and not found, following the ship was split in half in the waters off Hong Kong as Tropical Storm Chapa passed.

In turn, the government’s aviation service announced the rescue of 3 crew members of the ship, which was carrying 30 people, and said that search and rescue operations were continuing 300 kilometers southwest of the city, explaining that some crew members had left the ship and that severe weather conditions were hampering rescue efforts.

Storm Chapa passed along the global financial center, dumping heavy rain and strong winds, disrupting the city’s public transportation and forcing many businesses to close.
