Gaza – On the 173rd day of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip and the 17th day of Ramadan, clashes continued in the vicinity of Al-Shifa Medical Complex, and Israeli soldiers executed Palestinian civilians as they attempted to return to the northern Gaza Strip.

Clashes

Clashes continued between the Palestinian resistance faction movement and the occupation forces, yesterday, Wednesday, in the vicinity of the Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza City, which has been besieged by the occupation for 10 days. The faction movement announced that its fighters were able to snipe an Israeli soldier in the vicinity of the Shifa Medical Complex.

For its part, the faction movement said that it bombed gatherings of occupation soldiers in the vicinity of the Shifa complex with 60 mm mortar shells.

It added that it bombed, with Badr 1 missiles, a gathering of Israeli army vehicles and a command headquarters southeast of the Kissufim settlement in the Gaza Strip.

On Wednesday evening, the Israeli occupation army acknowledged the killing of a sergeant in the Givati ​​Brigade during battles that took place in the southern Gaza Strip, after it had previously announced that 22 of its soldiers had been wounded in Gaza during the past 24 hours.

Thus, the number of Israeli army casualties since the beginning of the war on October 7 last rose to 3,152, of whom 1,520 were injured since the start of the ground operation in the Gaza Strip on the 27th of the same month.

The occupation army also said that 592 soldiers were injured in the Gaza Strip as a result of what it described as “incidents” not related to the fighting.

Bombing and martyrs

Yesterday, Wednesday, a number of Palestinians were killed and injured in Israeli raids targeting the popular committees supervising the distribution of aid in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City.

The occupation soldiers used a bulldozer to bury the martyrs under the sand.

A source familiar with the indirect negotiations between the faction movement and Israel said that the statement issued by the movement two days ago confirming that the occupation’s response did not respond to any of the basic demands of the Palestinian people and their resistance, came after the mediators received a negative Israeli response that confirmed that Benjamin Netanyahu’s government is not interested in reaching an agreement to stop the aggression. It leads to the return of the displaced to the northern Gaza Strip.

The source revealed that the main point that sparked the negotiations was Israel’s insistence on limiting the return of the displaced to the northern Gaza Strip to women, children and the elderly, while postponing the return of all groups to the second phase of the negotiations.

The source indicated that the latest Israeli offer made a slight amendment in this item from the previous offer, adding only the elderly, in contrast to Hamas’s demand for the unconditional return of the displaced.

The isolation of the occupation

The head of the Political Bureau of the Palestinian factions movement, Ismail Haniyeh, confirmed that the Israeli occupation will not be able to impose its equations on the Palestinian people, and that the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation achieved unprecedented achievements for the Palestinian people.

West Bank

The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that 3 Palestinians were martyred and 4 others were injured at dawn on Wednesday by Israeli fire during a raid on the city of Jenin, bringing the number of martyrs in the West Bank to 453 – since the Al-Aqsa flood attack – in addition to about 4,750 wounded.

The number of detainees in the West Bank has also increased to more than 7,820 since that date, with the occupation forces arresting 20 Palestinians last night and Wednesday morning.

The faction movement said that it responded in the occupied West Bank – with the rest of the factions at dawn on Wednesday – to the Israeli forces storming Jenin and targeted its vehicles and soldiers.

South Lebanon

The Lebanese factions said that their fighters bombed the Kiryat Shmona settlement and the headquarters of the 769th Brigade in the settlement barracks with dozens of missiles in response to what they described as the Israeli enemy’s massacre in the town of Habbariyeh in southern Lebanon.

In the evening, a medical source reported that two Israeli raids on the towns of Naqoura and Tair Harfa in southern Lebanon resulted in the deaths of 9 people.
