In the secondary market, motorists often prefer to choose cars with a gasoline engine rather than a diesel one. However, some cars can cause owners much more problems than joy due to their unreliability. In particular, the rating of the least reliable secondary cars is headed by the Vauxhall Astra hatchback, writes Daily Motor.

Owners of this car often complained regarding various breakdowns, where the most mentioned faults were the failure of the engine, air conditioning, battery, electrics, exhaust, gearbox, clutch and suspension.

Mercedes-Benz C-Class is in second place in the anti-rating. Most often, problems arose with engines, electrical and exhaust systems. The reliability rating of this car is estimated at 54.9%.

The petrol Nissan Qashqai closes the top three, its reliability rating is estimated at 64.4%. Common breakdowns include engine or electrical faults, which then lead to problems with the air conditioner and battery. At the same time, the same “diesel” model has proven itself quite well.

The list also included the Nissan Micra with a reliability rating of 66.4%, the Skoda Octavia (71.2%) and the Mini Cooper (71.5%).
