The movie “Banat Intimacy” starring Hind Sabri and directed by Tunisian Kawthar Ben Hania, whose production is co-produced by Arab Radio and Television ART, won the “Golden Eye” award, bringing the number of film awards at the festival to 3 awards, after receiving two “Positive Cinema” awards yesterday. , which is awarded to the most positive feature film in the list of nominated films in the official competition at the Cannes Film Festival, and this award rewards the most cinematic film as a means of changing our view of the world and serving future generations towards a more positive world.

As for the second prize, it is a “Special Mention” from the Critic’s Prize Committee “François Chali” presented by the Francois Chali Association 27 years ago, on the sidelines of the Cannes Festival, by a group of critics and journalists specialized in the field of cinema.

It is worth noting that the “Golden Eye” or Documentary Film Award, chaired by Kristian Johnson, was awarded to the film “Banat Intimacy” jointly with the Moroccan film “White Lies” participating in the “Un Certain Regard” competition.

A jury awards this award, which was launched in 2015 by civil society, to the multimedia writers “Scam” in cooperation with the Cannes Festival. This award is one of the most prominent awards that qualify for the feature documentaries category of the Academy Awards.
