A Tribune filled with emotion! While Thierry Luthers is going to take a well-deserved retirement after 42 years of good and loyal service to RTBF, the entire Tribune team was in tune to offer him an outing worthy of the name. Throughout the show, various tributes and anecdotes have therefore been dedicated to him.
And if he put on a good face for long minutes, keeping his legendary good nature and chatting, Thierry finally cracked at the end of the show. Called to bid farewell to viewers facing the camera, he could not hold back a few sobs, taken by emotion: “This is the hardest time” he formulated, his eyes reddening. “So there you go, I first wanted to thank the whole team because you have prepared a wonderful show. It was really very moving. These are many successive emotions, after my friends from the radio, I bid farewell to my friends from TV.
So I would like to say goodbye to my dear viewers after so many years as a good little public service soldier. Thank you for your kindness, your loyalty. I have received extraordinary testimonials on Facebook in recent weeks, I will never forget them. Thanks very much.”
