It is located in Lenghu, a highland region of northern China. Due to its clear dimension and stable atmosphere, many astrological projects are carried out in Lenghu. The telescope is 2.5 meters in diameter. Chinese officials claim that it is capable of picking up even faint signals from distant galaxies.
