According to the report, the water in which this area was submerged was fresh water and the city’s structures remained unscathed due to the fact that they were not exposed to sunlight and oxygen due to being submerged. The main attraction of Shicheng is the carvings of 1777. Statues of lions, dragons and phoenix are also present here. This place was first opened to visitors in 2017.
Dwarka is another city that is believed to be submerged in such a way according to Hindu mythology. Several researchers have also pointed to evidence suggesting that Dwarka stood.
