Samsung announced a new screen fingerprint recognition technology earlier, which is 2.5 billion times more secure than the general single-finger screen fingerprint recognition technology.
At the iMiD 2022 conference held in September, Samsung Display announced an integrated sensor in the screen, including this new screen fingerprint recognition technology, so that the entire screen can be used for fingerprint recognition without being limited by the screen area. The method is more intuitive, and it supports 3-finger simultaneous scanning and unlocking, which improves the security.
The integrated sensors in the screen also include antennas, blood pressure and blood sugar sensors, etc. Since Samsung is also one of Apple’s screen suppliers, maybe the future iPhone will have improved security due to the fingerprint technology under the screen.
