The Ministry of Education and Technical Education announced the rules for implementing the Sports Day in schools with the start of the new academic year, as follows:
The first stage, beginning of October 2022, represents 25% of educational administration schools.
– The second stage, beginning of December 2022, with 25% of educational administration schools.
The third stage, the beginning of the second semester, 25% of educational administration schools.
Fourth stage, beginning of April 2023, with 25% of the total educational administration schools.
She emphasized that geographical distribution is taken into account when choosing percentages, and schools are chosen to be represented in all areas of the administration, and a full day is set for practicing activities for each grade separately, without affecting the curriculum distribution plan.
The new academic year begins on Saturday, October 1 and continues until Thursday, June 6, 2023, for all stages of education in public and official schools, languages, private and private languages.
The new academic year for international school students begins on September 18, 2022.
The duration of the new academic year is approximately 35 academic weeks.
The first semester starts October 1, 2022 to Thursday, January 26, 2023.
The start of the first semester exams on Sunday, January 14, 2023.
The second semester begins on Saturday, February 11, 2023, to Thursday, June 8.
The start of the second semester exams for the transport and preparatory certificate classes, Saturday, June 3, 2023.
Technical diploma exams start on Saturday, July 8, 2023.
High school exams start Saturday, June 10, 2023.
The duration of the first semester days is 98 days after deleting Fridays and the official holiday.
The duration of the days of the second semester is 96 days after deleting Fridays and the official holiday.
The actual study days are 194 days, which is equivalent to 35 weeks.
The examination period for the first and second semesters is considered within the actual study days and is calculated within the legally stipulated attendance rate.
The half-year vacation period is two weeks, starting from Saturday, January 28, 2023, and ending on Thursday, February 9.
