The New Voice on the Road Opens Public Vote for Six Jerusalem Contestants

The musical talent competition The New Voice on the Road has completed its premiere episode outside Jerusalem City Hall, where the judging panel advanced competitor David Hai directly to the next round while opening a public vote for six remaining contestants across 13 participating cities.

Jerusalem Premiere Sets the Stage and First Advancing Contestant

The opening episode of The New Voice on the Road brought seven local contestants onto the stage before a live audience and a panel of judges outside Jerusalem City Hall. The competition’s premiere featured performances evaluated by a trio of judges: clarinetist Avrum Leib Bernstein, keyboardist and arranger Adi Netaneli, and singer-songwriter Aviha Sherman. Following the initial round of performances, the panel awarded the first direct ticket to the next stage of the competition to contestant David Hai, establishing the baseline for the musical journey across the country.

With the first spot claimed, attention immediately shifted to the remaining performers and the audience vote required to determine who will join Hai in the upcoming duels. The production is designed to deliver two hours of family content each evening during the Bein HaZmanim period, broadcasting daily from 21:00 to 23:00 on Kol Chai and Emess.

Public Voting Opens for Six Contenders in the First Elimination Round

With David Hai already advancing through the judges’ decision, the remaining contestants from the Jerusalem premiere are now subject to a public vote. Listeners and viewers hold the responsibility of choosing which of the six remaining performers will secure the additional ticket and face David Hai in a head-to-head duel during the next phase of the contest.

The six participating contestants seeking the public’s backing include Shmuel Kraus, Uri Blatt, Yehuda Maimon, Eliyah Shila, Zechariah Rabinowitz, and Netanel Nakash. According to the reporting, the competitor who accumulates the highest number of votes from listeners and viewers will win the wildcard spot and continue in the tournament.

A Nationwide Tour and the Road to the Jerusalem Finals

The competition operates as a mobile stage traveling from city to city across Israel, giving local talent a platform to display their musical capabilities. Prior to the stage performances, organizers opened a preliminary vote allowing listeners and internet users to back their hometowns and demonstrate local patriotism ahead of the physical arrivals.

The overarching question guiding the entire broadcast series centers on which city will ultimately produce the winner of the grand finale, which is scheduled to take place and be broadcast from Binyanei HaUma in Jerusalem.
