There were many marriages for the artist, Laila Taher. She married for the first time to Mohamed El-Sherbiny, who is the father of her only son, Ahmed, but she separated from him because he refused her work in art and acting.
After that, she married the director Hussein Fawzy and separated from him also after three years, and the third time was from journalist Nabil Esmat.
Laila Taher was married to Shaaban for about four years, but the marriage ended in separation. About the reasons for that, Laila Taher said in a press interview: Youssef, after only a few months of marriage, met a group of friends who do not like to stay up late until after midnight.
Laila Taher said in a previous interview, Youssef Shaaban began to miss home a lot, going to the studio and at night to his family and neglecting the right of his house, even though I was so dedicated to his service that I sent my only Ahmed to live with my mother for him, where I loved him with all my heart, and despite that I dealt with His permanent absence from home was calm at first, and I tried to draw his attention from time to time, and I chose the kindest words and the happiest moments so as not to provoke his anger and hurt his feelings.
She added, Shaaban was very attached to his friends, and the news of his evenings with that group was the talk of most art people, and some of them even hinted from time to time that Youssef befriended many women.
Laila Taher says: One day the discussion raged between us, so I asked him for a divorce as a kind of reaction. In fact, I was not serious, but he responded immediately and took the oath of divorce, and for the truth, many friends sought to save our marriage more than once, but every time we return to some of the problems were The same scenario is repeated, hence the divorce again
