The Novec/Adi consortium assists the Ministry of Agriculture in the control and monitoring of irrigation projects

Technical assistance, within the framework of the monitoring and control of irrigation projects in the twelve regions of Morocco, was entrusted to the Novec/Adi group for 12.9 million DH.

Irrigation is crucial for Morocco since it contributes, according to the World Bank, up to 7% to GDP and 50% to the country’s agricultural added value. Irrigated agriculture is also more than 75% of exports agricultural of Morocco, and provides work for 50% rural labor.

The Directorate of Irrigation and Spatial Planning (DAYS) was also created with a view to rationalize the use water in agriculture and improve the valuation irrigable potential. These objectives are part of the Generation Green strategy.

To do this, the DIAE launched a call for tenders relating to technical assistance in the context of monitoring and control irrigation projects throughout the national territory.

According to the extract from the minutes of the call for tenders session, whose bids were opened on November 4, 2022, the solidarity group of Novec/Adi companies won it thanks to the best financial offer amounting to 12.9 million DH.
