Derived from the series The Conjuring, The Nun will win a sequel, with premiere date set for September 8 in Brazilian theaters. Now, The Nun 2, for now without any descriptive subtitle, has won its first trailer anticipating the macabre atmosphere that fans of the franchise await.
The new work will center on the same demonic villain who first appeared in The Conjuring 2 and gained her own fans. To fatten the series’ billionaire earnings, which already exceeds US$ 2 billion with nine films, the production prepares a story in France in the 1950s, starring sister Irene, who will have to confront the diabolical being. Irene will have to hold on to her faith to get rid of the entity.
Taissa Farmiga will star in the feature film directed by Michael Chavesthe same filmmaker responsible for The Conjuring 3: The Order of the Demon, The Nun 2 is produced by the duo James Wan and Peter Safran and features a script by Akela Cooper (from M3GAN), Ian Goldberg and Richard Naing (from Fear The Walking Dead ).
The cast also includes Anna Popplewell, Katelyn Rose Downey, Bonnie Aarons, Jonas Bloquet and Storm Reid.
