The Argentine broadcaster, Santiago Quiño, appeared, presenting the program, before he learned of the death of the Queen, and as soon as he learned the news, he opened a bottle of champagne and celebrated on the air, according to the British Daily Mail.
The announcer commented on the news of the Queen’s death, saying: “The old man has died.”
The newspaper pointed out that the broadcaster’s reaction to the Queen’s death was likely to be his anger at the United Kingdom’s control of the Falkland Islands in South America from the Argentines in 1982.
