“I never wear perfume in private,” says Francis Kurkdjian. The statement comes as a bit of a surprise when you consider that it came from the mouth of an international star perfumer. The 53-year-old created the iconic “Le Mâle” for Jean Paul Gaultier and has already released a whole range of exquisite niche fragrances under his own name. His expressive compositions might not suggest it, but Kurkdjian’s motto is “less is more.” But in the case of his latest olfactory project, it was a bit too little.
